Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIE) is a 3 day event that was held from 25th September to 27th September 2018 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, United States Of America. This event showcases products like cabin interior designs & innovations featuring cabin management systems, seating products, soft furnishings, leather & textiles, galley equipment etc. The event is collocated with the APEX Expo and is the industry’s largest PaxEx event exclusive to experts and decision-makers committed to elevating the level of the worldwide airline passenger experience. The event features top-notch seminars led by industry experts, the latest and most comprehensive display of airline related technologies, products and services, as well as valuable networking opportunities.
The AHW booth was well received and visited by over 200 enthusiastic conference goers. One that stood out was Patrick’s Plastic, an injection mold plastics company based in Canada and looking to expand into the aircraft market. Patrick’s Plastics stopped by our booth to discuss their capabilities and making plastics products for Aircraft Hardware West. Discussions continued after the show and Patrick’s Plastics came to visit our corporate headquarters in Long Beach, CA. Patrick’s Plastics is a family owned, mid-sized business with the same core values as AHW. There is synergy between the companies and working together will allow AHW to offer its customers a wide range of plastic products at competitive pricing. Trade shows like AIE are just as much of a vendor discovery opportunity, as it is connecting with customers.
AHW’s main focus this years was the introduction of their creative Vendor Managed Services Programs (VMI). These programs are designed to uniquely meet the specific procurement and warehousing requirements of their customers, and optimize the supply of hardware into the customer’s stockroom and production areas. AHW exhibited how these programs can integrate with customers ERP systems, and demonstrated AHW Web Portal monitoring. Frank Ioffrida, CEO and founder of AHW says “Providing our customers with both financial and operational flexibility, these programs will be able to more smoothly and accurately control the availability and flow of parts to the production lines”.
AHW Director of Sales, Bobby Arranaga and Director of Operations, Krista Wildermuth attended the show as did over 3,000 industry professionals, including representatives from nearly 100 airlines and some 300 content providers, OEMs, systems manufacturers and other industry suppliers from around the globe.An extremely positive show and a great place to meet new prospects, network with industry experts, and reconnect with old business partners. As always the complimentary Ghirardelli chocolates, at the AHW booth, were a big hit!
