AHW is proud to announce that they have been granted the AS9120B certification.  Certifications are issued by third party certifying bodies. AS9120B is a company-level certification based on a standard published by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) titled “Quality Management Systems — Requirements for Aviation, Space, and Defense Distributors.” This standard includes ISO 9001:2015.

AHW will be subjected to annual or regularly scheduled audits where the organization’s compliance with the standard is evaluated by the certifying body.

This certification is intended for organizations in the aviation, space, and defense industries that procure and sell parts, materials, and assemblies. This standard revises the AS9120A standard and includes an emphasis on product safety requirements, counterfeit parts prevention, and performance evaluation. The new standard puts a stronger emphasis on the Human Factor. This requires the consideration of human factors in the root cause analysis for nonconformity. To do that, you must understand the interactions between people, machines and each other and their impact on human performance. Human factors could include physical fitness, physiological characteristics, personality, stress and fatigue to name just a few. Also included in this revision is FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to document initial Risk Analysis, the Suspected Unapproved Parts list to identify and flag know providers of counterfeit part and stronger risk identification and mitigation capture forms to help track and close identified risks across the supply chain lifecycle. AHW has had a long standing corporate philosophy and culture of adherence to the strictest industry Quality Management requirements and certifications. AHW has developed a well Organized Quality Management System with experienced quality personnel and a robust Internal Audit and Management Review processes and systems.
