Aircraft Hardware West was established in 2002 when Frank Ioffrida and a small team of seasoned authorities on aircraft hardware recognized a unique opportunity in the marketplace. While other distributors offered parts geared toward specific industries, AHW is able to customize inventory around individual customers. This unique approach to stocking parts allows AHW to meet very specific needs and to expand our inventory to meet the growing needs of our customers. It’s a level of partnership and personalized service that larger distributors simply can’t offer.
In 2002 Mr. Ioffrida began building inventory specific to the industries in which he was most knowledgeable. By 2003 AHW had established distributorships with key manufacturers like Textron, Esna, and Greer. He also built strong relationships with leading distributors to provide inventory on an immediate need basis. As the customer base expanded, AHW added sales staff to maintain the high standard of service. Then, in 2004, gaming, truck, and trailer were added to an industry list that includes aerospace, industrial, and department of defense. To this day, AHW has remained committed to its core vision – to offer supply on demand, to manage inventory systems, and to provide products and services to domestic and international markets.
From our 15,000 square foot warehouse near LAX in Southern California, AHW’s headquarters is well positioned to serve the growing aerospace and related industries. The warehouse itself is configured specifically to store high volume aircraft and commercial hardware, with a state-of-the-art inventory and warehousing system to provide reliable, same day turn-around shipment and delivery. There’s a dedicated Quality Control area, utilizing the very latest specification and calibration tools. There are assigned areas for kitting, VMI bin-stock preparation, and government order processing.
In November, 2017 AHW established operations in Chihuahua, Mexico through partner Intermex to support EZAir Interiors, Safran Cabin, Safran Seats and Seat Shells with Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Program. With over 9000 square feet of warehouse and office space, this facility is designed to support AHW’s growing customer base by expanding inventory and localizing material for VMI programs in the Mexico.
Bar coding is used on all shipments and, in keeping with our highly personalized approach, can be modified to customer specifications if necessary. We rely on UPS, FedEx, DHL, and our own company trucks for shipping. Our 3,500 square foot corporate offices are connected to the warehouse, giving us quick access to parts availability. We’re open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM PST to take your orders or assist in any way we can.
